Closing date: 30-04-2019

overview of the role

Business Funding (ABF) is an exciting young business which is part of the
Clifton Asset Management Group based in Ham Green, Pill. Clifton Asset
Management has offered specialist financial services to businesses and
individuals throughout the UK since 1986.

ABF is a Fintech
business, which largely means that we have a web based platform and that we
don’t wear suits with the office attire more smart casual and fully casual on

Our website allows
business owners to find appropriate finance from over 100 different providers
in the market. It’s essentially a Go Compare type service if you will, but for
business funding and without the annoying Opera singer.

The role is a new
position, required to expand the team, following the recent promotion of one of
our team after they successful completed their apprenticeship.

Monday to Friday,
one hour for lunch (Times TBC).

Total hours per week: 37.50

Annual wage

apprenticeship duration –
15 months

As a member of the
ABF service team you will take part in many of the day to day duties of
operating the platform. This will include speaking to customers over the phone
to help them with their enquiries, using the automated functionality of the
platform and helping other team members achieve funding success for the

A typical working
day will include sitting within our small friendly team, answering inbound
calls and transferring them through to the appropriate team member, helping
team members by sending emails to chase up paperwork required to complete
applications and assisting them with the platform management. Don’t worry
though, it is more interesting than it sounds!

We are looking for
someone articulate with good telephone skills and basic computer knowledge
including word and excel. A willingness to learn is key as there will be continuous
training and development provided around our business, the day to day
activities, our platform and the types of finance available. This will be both
internally from the other team members and also from our finance providers when
they come in to visit the team.

The office is a
relaxed atmosphere with a smart causal dress code rather than suits. The team
is good fun and relatively funny, although there are more Dad jokes from some than
we all need! There are regular social events, some with one of our lenders
footing the bill, which always makes them more enjoyable. Plus we try (pretty
successfully) and make it to the pub on Friday lunchtime for a team lunch,
although you might need to bring your ID!
