Clifton Asset Management is looking for a Technical Support
Specialist to join the team. The details of the role are as follows:

Description

The successful candidate
will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of technical
issues within a busy financial organisation, providing technical support for
both internal and external customers. You will be monitoring and maintaining
the computer systems/ networks and company websites and dealing with any issues
that arise such as
forgotten passwords, software crashing or
email issues, you’ll be the first person employees will come to.

Your technical support will prove vital to the business as
we strive to keep every user in the business able to carry out their jobs with
minimum downtime in repairing or replacing the system/ workstations. Tasks can
include installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing
hardware/software faults and solving technical problems, either over the phone
or person.

Some tasks you may be involved in include:

  • Working with employees to
    identify computer problems and advising on the solution
  • Answering any customer queries
    to do with our bespoke web portal and advising them on login issues.
  • Logging and keeping records of
    customer/employee queries
  • Analysing call logs so you can
    spot common trends and underlying problems
  • Installing and configuring
    computer hardware, software, systems, networks
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • Agreeing timescales
  • Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies

Desired
Skills and Expertise

You should have strong communication/ interpersonal skills
as you will be interacting with all members of staff who will have varying
levels of technical knowledge. As well as this, the successful candidate should
be organised, capable of working under pressure with excellent problem-solving
skills. There will be room for development within the role for continued
learning to improve own skills and knowledge in a variety of different areas.

Salary range: £20,000 – £24,000
